Children of Zoe is Steven Lee Figueroa's next big project. Based on historic events and contreversial figures, the book focuses on the rise and fall of a large empire in the 13th century. Based around actual facts and events, the book focuses on the life of two different worlds; one filled with love and peace, the other filled with revenge, hatred, anger, and malice. In the early 13th century, a group of "Heretics" are met by the strong hand of the Catholic Church. There was no place for heretics and heathens. It was a time of great confusion and anarchy... it was a time of great sadness for my people.

The year was 1209, it was the year I first met her... the year that I met, Zoe. She was the reason for our survival, she was the reason our people grew stronger. We have struggled to survive for this long, we have struggled to live amongst regular humans.

Our powers grow stronger, our clan grows closer. Our enemies have felt the power of our strength and they have fallen to our mercy. The story of our survival is long and beautiful. Our struggles to survive from the tyranny of the Church for 800 years are but a tale to be told. We are survivors, we are fathers, brothers, husbands, sons. We fear death, we fear God... we are still humans.

Who knew that a relationship book would have such an impact with our youth. As seen here in this Hollywood-style video, the book makes two best friends become the worst of enemies after one of them finds the book on the ground coming out of his friend's bathroom. The story unfolds as he makes his way out of the house and his friend happens to see the book in his hands after a very dangerous Websters Dictionary explodes (For some reason) as he tosses it away.

A car chase ends, somewhere, and everything just gets out of hand as he tries to find a peaceful bathroom to continue his reading on this newly acquired book.

The video was shot, edited, and the special effects were all done by John Salamanca. Justin, or Justinater as he is well know on the school yard, was the friend trying to steal the book from his house.
